SOURCES OF THE EAST
WITHOUT DOUBT THE BEST DRagees OF THE WORLD ...

At the beginning of the twentieth century, Agop ADJEMIAN and his wife Philomène worked as a grocer-confectioner in Ankara in Turkish Anatolia. They hold a tea room whose reputation is due to the quality of their sweets and especially their jams of roses ...

In 1923 abandoning everything, Agop and Philomène landed in Marseille and launched their new life by making oriental sweets: Rahat Loukoum, lollipops, barley sugars, jams, gums, pralines, small mimosas, etc ...

In 1924, they founded the Confiserie A L'ARC-EN-CIEL Avenue de la Petite Suisse in the district of Beaumont, near Saint Julien. In the 30s, they settle at 16 Avenue de la Rosière in Beaumont and live above their factory which is growing.

In 1948, their two sons Paul-Jean and Clément take over the business. In this post-war period optimism spread to all of France and marriages, baptisms and communions multiplied. And future brides and young parents ask for Dragees.

The two brothers then create the recipe for ROSIERE sugared almonds, which will make the success of the House, from the best almond, the Avola Princess of Sicily, and a touch of vanilla from Madagascar. They jealously guard the secret of proportions ... and travel across France with their sample cases!

In 1969, Paul-Jean ADJEMIAN built a new factory at No. 5 Avenue des Trois-Lucs, became avenue Fernandel in 1971, because the famous actor lived nearby, at number 138, the Villa of 1,000 Roses. Some even claim that he came to taste some dragees in his spare time ...
